How Powerful is the Dodge Charger?

Several engine options are available for the Dodge Charger, and while each one is extremely powerful, the engine option will depend on the trim level. The first few trims are known as the SXT and the GT, which have a 3.6-liter V6 that puts out 292 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque, and you can up that to 300 horsepower and 264 lb-ft of torque with either the rear-wheel-drive GT and the all-wheel-drive SXT. From here, you get a vast number of V8 engines, with the first being a 5.7-liter V8 which delivers 370 horsepower and 395 lb-ft of torque. The Scat Pack is next, and it uses a 6.4-liter V8 that pushes out 485 horsepower and 475 lb-ft of torque. The Hellcat trim rounds things out with a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 that pounds the pavement with 717 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque, which is then upped to 792 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque. Finally, the Hellcat Redeye rips out 807 horsepower if you go with the Jailbreak package. Each engine pairs with a smooth eight-speed automatic transmission.

Standard Features for the 2023 Charger

Now that we have laid out all of the power you can get with the Dodge Charger, let's tell you about all the spectacular features you can get with the 2023 Charger. Even at the base trim level, the 2023 Charger is well equipped as it has 17-inch alloy wheels, keyless entry/ignition, remote start, configurable driver information display, sport front seats, cloth upholstery, power-adjustable front seats, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Then there is the impressive amount of tech! The SXT is filled with some of the most advanced tech on the market, which includes a 7-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay/Android Auto integration, two USB ports, voice control,  and satellite radio. There is even an abundance of safety features such as traction/stability control, airbags, and a rearview camera.

What is Available on the Higher Trims of the Charger?

After the base trim level, four trims remain! The next trim we need to discuss is the GT which is standard with 20-inch alloy wheels, fog lights, a rear spoiler, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a self-dimming rearview mirror. The Scat Pack is next, and it provides you with the Widebody package and Brembo brakes, a limited-slip differential, a heavier-duty cooling system, launch control, configurable driving modes, driver's-side memory settings, and heated front seats. Finally, we have to talk to you about the Hellcat trims, which have the most significant amount of performance features such as an intercooler system, blind-spot monitoring, self-dimming driver's-side mirror, and ventilated seats. This trim includes some option packages, including the Driver Convenience Group, which has blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and an upgraded alarm system. You can also get the Tech Group which adds forward-collision warnings with automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, rain-sensing wipers, and automatic high beams.
